Game of choice includes mule deer and wild boar. A typical season supports 42 hunts from the fall to the early winter season. Only eight hunters are allowed at one time. Hunting other animals like goat, antelope, and bison must be specially arranged, as they are considered exotic game.
Before hunting, you will need to acquire a license. Contact the California Department of Fish and Game in Sacramento for tags. Only rifles are permitted and .270 or higher.
